Influencers: ZoeUnlimited

Writer's picture: TTEA Front DeskTTEA Front Desk

I wanted to start a TTEA blog mini-series here that talks about different influencers who explore body dysmorphia, share their personal stories, or talk about personal mental health experiences on their channels.

To kick things off, ZoeUnlimited. ZoeUnlimited is fantastic; she dissects the implications of SO MANY aspects of American society that promote disordered eating and body dysmorphia. I'll link some of my favorite videos here:

I do want to add a content warning though - some of the language Zoe uses with titling her videos promotes the thin ideal (probably to get views). If you don't think those videos would be good for your mental health, please steer clear.

If any of you watch Emily in Paris - fun-to-watch show, but also, I love the way Zoe goes into such detail with the less positive aspects about it. For anyone who's curious about the parts of it that (perhaps unintentionally) promote racism and body dysmorphia!

For those interested in learning about one of the most prominent instances of a brand basically promoting eating disorders.

Content Warning: This video does contain images of individuals experiencing eating disorders.

Thanks for reading, happy watching (and learning!), and I'll see you all next week!

Disclaimer: I did not receive endorsement for this post, and I am not promoting nor saying I support everything Zoe says or posts. However, I did find her videos informative (the ones I watched; I haven't seen all of them) and wanted to share this channel as a helpful resource.
