Frankly, I find the lack of inclusive sizing - and advertisement on brands with inclusive sizing - ridiculous. And I figure, here's a blog, let's do something about that! (Also, in the spirit of holiday clothing sales...lots of brands have some great holiday deals happening right now)
Here are the best size-inclusive brands I've found - or been introduced to by friends - in 2022:
***Disclaimer: I don't profit (there's no clothing sponsors or commission I'm getting from writing a blog post about these brands.
***Disclaimer: I think price range is important to talk about here. I want to expand on the brands that cater to different socioeconomic classes, so that there's a more comprehensive guide that can help people figure out what brands they want to buy from. But, given that this is the first post I'm making about clothing brands... I'd rank all the brands in this post 3.5-4 (in a range from 1-5, with 1 being the lowest and 5 being the most expensive)
General
Aerie
Comfy, cute, sporty
Sizing runs from XXS - XXL, which is a numeric 00-18
Bra sizing runs from a 30A - 40DD
Visit the Aerie website here.
Madewell
Flannels, girl-next-door, DENIM, cottagecore
Jeans sizing runs from a 23-28W (US sizing)
Personally, I've found Madewell jeans run large... so I'll usually size down 1 or 2 sizes
Visit the Madewell website here.
Aritzia
Quality basics, elegant, sleek
Sizing runs from a 2XS - XXL (numeric sizing 00-16)
I'm short, so I love that Aritizia has "short," "regular," "tall," and "taller" pant length options
Short = below 5'3"
Regular = 5'3" - 5'7"
Tall = 5'8" - 5'11"
Taller = above 5'11"
Please keep in mind...Aritizia does get expensive. I find that the best time to buy clothing is during sales (so, Black Friday or now)...otherwise, you'll be spending a couple hundred on a jacket or some pants
BUT, so far I've found that the quality of their clothing is fantastic and its lasted a couple of my friends years
Visit the Aritizia site here.
Knix
Comfortable, affordable, basics
Knix is mainly a bra brand, with sizing that ranges from a 30A - 44H
Friends have told me that Knix bras are not only built well, but they're pretty seamless under clothing as well
I browsed their site for a bit, and I think of all the brands listed, Knix is for sure the most affordable one
Also, for the summer...I heard they launched a swimwear line (I think I'm late to this news...the article was published in 2019... but they've got swimsuits too!)
Visit the Knix website here.
Girlfriend Collective
Sporty, minimalistic, classic
Girlfriend Collective wins the most inclusive sizing title in this post - their sizing ranges from a XXS to a 6XL across the board for women's clothing
They also carry men's clothing, with a size range from XXXS - 6XL
I don't personally own anything from Girlfriend Collective, but after browsing their site to write this blog post, I definitely want to! Their styles look sleek and very modern. :)
Visit the Girlfriend Collective site here.
Lululemon
The brand kind of speaks for itself.
Hear me out - I wouldn't have put Lululemon down, because the clothing is so expensive, but their sizing is quite inclusive.
General sizing runs from a 0-20
Lab collection sizing runs from a XXS-XXL (so a bit smaller than their general sizing)
They have a fantastic repair policy - when your clothing tears or wears out, you can bring it to any physical Lululemon store and if they have the means to repair it, they will (no matter how old it is)
Visit the Lululemon website here.
Also, feel free to click on this link above (or any of the image links) - these campaign photos are absolutely gorgeous.
This blog post was made with the idea to promote size-inclusive clothing brands in mind. I know that these brands are not the most affordable, and I'm planning on creating a future blog post with more affordable brands featured.
Again, on the scale of 1-5, the brands featured in this post get an affordability rating of 3.5 - 4
xx,
Happy Holidays! :)
